Dodge Industrial is seeking Manufacturing Engineer to join our Belton, SC manufacturing facilityThis role is responsible for the development and maintenance of manufacturing processes, tools, equipment, gages, work instructions, routings, and BOMs for the standard duty gearing product lines manufacturing in the facilityThis role will work with cross-functional teams to implement new and enhanced product designs and new equipment through the CAPEX processThis role will also provide hands-on support to operators and assemblers within the production processAn understanding of CAM software and CNC will be critical in providing that real-time supportJob DetailsDescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Responsible for the development and planning of manufacturing processes.
Responsible for the development and installation of tools, equipment, gages, and standard workSupports the evaluation, purchase, development, and installation of new capital equipment.
Identify, develop, justify, and implement process improvement, cost reduction, quality improvement, and safety and ergonomic improvement projectsApply statistical methods to evaluate and improve process capability and estimate future manufacturing requirements and potentialProvide technical project management support.
Fluent with the use CNC milling, turning, and grinding applications.
Provides technical assistance and training for assigned plant operationsCreate and maintain accurate work instructions, routings, and BOMsAbility to design and model fixture components and assembly tooling using Solidworks /AutoCAD.
EDUCATION:
B.
Sin Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering degree required.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Experienced in CNC programming 4-axis milling, 3-axis turning, and grinding.
Experience with manufacturing automation (Robotics, Cobots, PLCs, etc.
) Computer skills - MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio), AutoCAD, Solid Works, CAM, or an equivalent CAD/CAM software.
Experience with managing CAPEX projects for various manufacturing processes.
Experience with lean principles, including Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Kaizen, Standard Work, and Six Sigma.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skillsSKILLS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Willingness/desire to learn and utilize lean manufacturing principles.
Track record of taking ownership of work and displaying strong customer focus.
Self-starter with the ability to establish, prioritize, and organize work tasks.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong project management skills.
